Lightweight open-source libraries for web interfaces: audio, shortcuts, tours, and a dock.

Open source · 2026Docsnpm

Four things I wanted to stop rebuilding from scratch.

Audio feedback, keyboard shortcuts, onboarding tours, and side panels. I needed them in nearly every project, and existing packages were either too heavy or forced a visual theme.

So I extracted them into independent libraries.

The four

  • audio generates 29 tactile sounds directly in code. Not a single asset file or network request.
  • keys manages keyboard shortcuts with conflict detection and customizable bindings.
  • tour handles guided product walkthroughs with full keyboard and screen-reader support.
  • dock provides URL-synced side panels for dense applications.

No design opinions

They handle the logic and stay completely out of your styles. If you build clean, minimal interfaces, they drop in with zero resistance.

In production

They power the interfaces for Rugero and Jace. When an edge case shows up in production, it gets fixed at the source.

They currently see around 900 downloads a month on npm.
